The Bobber Drop Press Release!

Mark your calendars and get your nets ready!  The 3rd Generation, 2nd Annual Great Grand Bobber Drop is less than 90 days away!  That’s right, August 14th is the date for The Bobber Drop, and you won’t want to miss all the excitement!

Sam Williams, the third generation, from Grand Lake Sports Center, will board Helicopter Advantages Chopper, and start dropping bobbers for the 2nd Annual Great Grand Bobber Drop, into Grand Lake at approximately 8AM.  This year we are adding to the excitement by increasing the number of bobbers to 6000, and we will be going from Honey creek to Shangri-La, to Bernice and then back to the Elk River Bridge.  There will be several passes, and bobbers will be dropping for approximately 3 hours. 

 We already have commitments from KGVE 99.3 to promote the event, along with personal appearances on Discover Oklahoma and KODE. 

 If last year's response is any indication, we should be expecting over 4000 boats this year!  Out of the 5000 bobbers that were dropped last year, all but 232 were returned, and we are expecting the same response this year. 
 Last year we had over 80 merchants and business participating!

 The Bobber Drop was one of the busiest Retail Shopping days in Grove.  (The Grove area).
